Health Partners Honored as Gold Stevie® Award Winner in 2012 American Business Awards
One of Several Awards Health Partners’ CHIP Fitness Campaign Wins this Year

Philadelphia, PA — Health Partners was presented with a Gold Stevie® Award in the Marketing Campaign of the Year for Health Products & Services category at the 10th Annual American Business Awards gala, held on June 18 at the Marriott Marquis Hotel in New York.

Health Partners’ whimsical ad campaign for its KidzPartners Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP) was conceived to draw attention to the serious problem of childhood obesity. Pennsylvania’s CHIP plan offers free or low-cost insurance for uninsured kids and teens. The KidzPartners CHIP plan additionally helps families combat childhood obesity by covering fitness center memberships, a Weight Watchers® benefit and nutrition counseling.

“We are so pleased that our efforts to bring attention to the issue of pediatric obesity in a fun, engaging way have received such a high level of recognition. This campaign was created by our talented and resourceful in-house team, which makes receiving this award that much more gratifying,” says Randy Mintz-Presant, Health Partners’ vice president of corporate communications and public affairs. “There were some really creative campaigns, and we congratulate all the finalists.”

Health Partners took home the gold, the highest award, in its category. The other finalists included large regional and multi-national organizations:  Global Experience Specialists (Las Vegas), Quality Systems, Inc. (Irvine, CA) and Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital (New Brunswick, NJ). This year, more than 3,000 organizations from around the country and in virtually every industry submitted nominations in a wide range of categories.

In addition to receiving the Stevies Gold, the KidzPartners ad campaign was also recently honored with two Platinum and two Gold Hermes Creative Awards, and the Communicator Award of Distinction from the International Academy of the Visual Arts.
